The cAMP Hunter PROKR1 eXpress kit provides an easy-to-use cell based assay to study drug candidates (small molecules or biologics) targeting GPCRs. This kit assesses ligand (e.g. prokinectin, EG-VEGF) based activation of PROKR1 GPCR activity via detection of increasing levels of intracellular cAMP. This product uses EFC technology. The cells overexpress wild type PROKR1, a naturally Gs coupled GPCR. Upon activation of PROKR1, the increase in levels of intracellular cAMP leads to an increased signal from EFC when the cAMP detection kit is applied. eXpress kits are a convenient, ready-to-use format which contains all materials needed to run the assay, including single-use vials of cryopreserved cells, cell plating media, detection reagent, and assay plates. Bile acid levels in feces blood urine and bile can be used as markers for various diseases such as hyperlipidemia cholestasis gall stones colon cancer etc. Bile acids also exist as sulfate salt forms known as bile acid sulfates. Sulfation of bile acids increases their solubility and decreases intestinal absorption thereby enhancing fecal and urinary excretion.
